When I sold my Orbea Alma, it was an emotional goodbye, and you are about to know why. I hate to keep you waiting, but this is perhaps the lightest cross-country bike I’ve had the chance to ride.

The Orbea Alma is the ideal bike for you if you care about having a high-end hardtail and not afraid to spend. It’s a nice bike to ride on XC-oriented trails that are generally smooth.
Due to its lightweight design, Alma is such a great climber, you will be perplexed. However, when it comes to cruising down on descends at high speeds, Alma will not live to it, especially the LTD edition with a rigid fork.

I’m afraid that Orbea doesn’t have a downhill bike, but they compensated for that with one of the top-grossing enduro bikes – the Orbea Rallon.
The Rallon serves both styles much well, and you can confidently use it as a downhill bike. Rallon’s biggest advantage is that it can pedal to the top, make a U-turn and cruise on the descents like a rocket.
The newest models of Orbea Rallon are more aggressive than they have ever been and come at affordable prices.
The linkage assembly of the current Rallon has received a few updates to its linkage to improve its stroke sensitivity.

However, just like any other enduro bike, with all that travel, the Rallon will not climb as quickly as a trail or XC bike would.

Every Orbea bike is covered by a warranty, but the owner has to register the bike online by signing up at the Orbea platform and entering the bar code of your bike. Your Orbea local bike retailer will help you with making a claim.
Once the limited warranty expires, Orbea provides a lifetime one, on all alloy and carbon monocoque frames and rigid forks.
Your bike also gets a one-year warranty for faulty paint or varnish on the frame or forks. The lifetime warranty covers your bike frame breakage or cracking.

History of Orbea
Spanish food is one thing we enjoy when we get a chance to, but the food is not the only Espana pride. Orbea is proudly made in Spain, and the curves and the color hues, sound like it.
Founded in 1840, by brothers Casimiro Orbea, Juan Manuel and Mateo, Orbea is one of the oldest bike brands in the world.
The bike manufacturer started as a rifles and guns manufacturer, and after 90 years, they shifted from what kills to what improves lives – cycling!
The bike maker dived into the bike industry in 1920, and by 1934, their bikes were gracing the Tour de France. Mariano Canardo carried Orbea’s flag high in the next series of Tour de France.
In 1969, Orbea took a nosedive, and recorded dwindling profits as it suffocated in debt. It took the intervention of its employees who purchased the brand from the family and relocated it from Eibar to Mallabia.
In the next 20 years, the new Orbea company focused on Spanish and the European clientele and produced leisure bikes.
In the 80s, the company had shaken off most of its debt and seeking for greener pastures. In 1989, Orbea dipped its toe in the world of mountain bikes.
The workers at Orbea still own the company and they produce five mountain bikes and one e-bike amongst others. Apart from awesome bike deals, Orbea has built a reputation for painting bikes creatively.
