Clay Porter is a regular go-getter. At a young age he became enamored with the concept of placing bicycle riding on film. By the age of 16, the Junior Expert gravity racer had produced his own mountain bike movie: The Spectacle.
Today, Clay has produced four major mtb race movies with his most recent, Hypnosis, already being heralded as one of the best of its genre. Clay’s focus has always been 100% on racing. If it has two wheels, rides on dirt and is timed by a stopwatch, Clay’s in to it.
We’ve been buddies with Clay for a few years now. His involvement with decline started out slowly: writing the occasional race report here or there and then finally graduating to full-blown rider interviews. Now, if you pick up a current issue of decline, you’ll see a smattering of his race reports, interviews and random editorial throughout the entire magazine.
