April Lawyer

A former professional snowboarder, April Lawyer turned her attention to cycling when a friend urged her to try downhilling. She won her first race and never looked back.

April has made it to the World Cup podium, and has won a silver medal at the X Games. April finished third overall in the 2005 NORBA downhill category, and was still able to make time to host clinics for aspiring riders.

One of the biggest challenges of the past is her opening her own clothing store in Bend, Oregon called Vanilla Urban Threads. Just like with everything else that she's done in the past, it looks like her success story continues even off the race course.

Her challenging 2006 race schedule includes the Sea Otter Classic, numerous NORBA races, the US Open of Mountain Biking, and the World Championships in Rotorua, New Zealand. April competes in pro downhill and mountain cross in the NORBA series and the World Cup tour.
