Exclusive: Corsair König Spy Shots
The new Corsair König
The first prototype has arrived in Whistler and we got a first peek at it. Featuring five inches of rear wheel travel with a 2.5:1 leverage ratio, the Corsair König is specifically designed for Slopestyle. The linkage system is designed to give the bike the stiffness needed to withstand the rigorous abuse of that riding style. The suspension system may look like a virtual pivot design but the swingarm actually rotates around a single point. Therefore the links provide the stiffness and support necessary to withstand the forces encountered from the variety of landings the Slopestyle rider will encounter. The König will be the only bike in the lineup utilizing this suspension system.
A three-degree adjustable non-sleeve headset system that doesn't affect the bottom bracket height of the bike, low standover clearance, replaceable dropouts for Maxle or regular axles and pivot-lock system that doesn't require any spacers and can't loosen under any circumstances, are part of the package.
Corsair bikes will be available as framesets or complete build kits with goodies from the likes of Marzocchi, Race Face, Kenda, Avid and SRAM, just to name a few.

To take a look at the bike in real life, Corsair will have a booth at Crankworx Colorado and Crankworx Whistler, as well as Eurobike and Interbike. The first shipment of the König should arrive in October of this year.
